Penhaligon's Endymion

Night ... yes, a beautiful, clear and pure night full of bright stars and the moon looms with all his source of light. Look into the sky, look into something without end... Here and there cold breeze blows and inflict a trace of lavender, immortelle, lemon, leather, vetiver... and then u can really enjoy the reality and realize that you are walking on some promenade while it's inflamed with old yellow lanterns...

I like Apolonius story. Selene, titan goddess of the moon, fell in love with mortal as she moved the moon chariols through the night sky. This resulted with an eternal love. That was a mortal Endymion. Endymion was possessed by a dazzling beauty, timeless, radiated with perfection. Selena loved him so much while he was peacefully sleeping, then she asked Zeus, the father of Endymion, would he make him immortal in that position. Thus, Endymion became immortal, Zeus let stay into an eternal sleep with timeless beauty where Selena today visits him in the mountain Latmos.

Packaging of this perfume also suggests what was the purpose ... box lined with stars, the night of dark-blue sky, and a small crescent. The perfume is an ode to love that is eternal, a reflection of the night, eternity, comfort ... Parfumer Steve de Mercado has fulfilled his mission. The fragrance truly captures all laid out. It is so easy, pleasant, spicy at the same time ... he found a very good balance between freshness, spices and depth of the fragrance. Very elegant scent designed for the night and small hours. Opening is citrusy, but later all the notes in it intertwine and form a cohesive whole. The ingredients are mostly - lavender, leather, lemon, vetiver, immortelle and all of that makes a pleasant fresh, slightly sweet and spicy smell. Extremely elegant and sophisticated fragrance, serious but irresistible ...I always lean my nose to the wrist. Pehnaligon's mostly  have a tradition of working in the style of colognes which are delicately encompassed, therefore, none of their perfume is not blatantly as EdP, and Endymion, is just a cologne with an excellent duration (as EDT) and with a medium-sillage. The most important thing is that the perfume had served its purpose and it is one of those for whom you crave for. Made for a nice blazer, oxfords, shirt, handkerchief in a jacket, cufflinks... a very manly fragrance. Penhaligon's has something 'Penhaligonyic' in all of its creations. The two arms that are on the logo of Penhaligon's are the arms of Prince Charles and the Duke of Edinburgh, therefore, Penahligon's is the official supplier of their Highness;)

The fragrance is a little masterpiece..and anyone who wants to smell the night, eternity, sweetness, irresistible...knows what to look for ;)

Noć...da, jedna lijepa, bistra i čista noć puna sjajnih zvijezda, a mjesec se nazire sa svom svojom svijetlošću. Pogled u nebo, pogled je u nešto bez kraja, vječno. Tu i tamo zapuše prohladni povjetarac i nanese trag lavande, smilja, limuna, kože, vetivera...i onda se zapravo uživite u realnost i shvatite da šetate Strossmayerovim šetalištem dok su upaljeni stari, žuti lampioni...

Najviše volim Apolonijevu priču. Selena, titanska božica mjeseca, zaljubila se u smrtnika dok je vozila kola mjeseca kroz noćno nebo. Tako je nastala vječna ljubav. Taj smrtnik bio je Endymion. Endymion je posjedovao zaslijepljujuću ljepotu, neprolaznu, zračio je savršenstvom. Selena ga je toliko voljela dok je spokojno spavao, da je zamolila Zeusa, oca Endymionova, da ga učini besmrtnim u toj pozi. Tako je Endymion postao besmrtan, Zeus ga je pustio u vječni san sa bezvremenskom ljepotom gdje ga Selena i dan danas posjećuje u planini Latmos. 

Pakiranje ovog parfema isto daje naslutiti što je bila svrha...kutijica obložena zvijezdama, noćno tamno-plavo nebo, i mali polumjesec. Parfem je oda ljubavi koja je vječna, odraz noći, vječnosti, ugode...Parfumer Steve de Mercado je uspio. Parfem zbilja dočarava sve zacrtano. Toliko je lagan, ugodan, začinski istovremeno...pronađen je jedan jako dobar balans između svježine, začina i dubine parfema. Jako elegantan miris namijenjen za noć i sitne sate. Otvaranje mu je citrusno, ali kasnije se sve note u njemu isprepliću i čine jednu povezanu cjelinu, a od sastojaka se najviše osjeti lavanda, koža, limun, smilje i vetiver što čini jednu ugodnu svježinu, pomalo slatkastu i začinsku. Iznimno elegantan i profinjen parfem, ozbiljan, ali neodoljiv...stalno prislonim nos na zapešće. Pehnaligon's uglavnom ima tradiciju raditi parfeme u stilu kolonjskih voda, stoga, niti jedan njihov parfem nije napadan kao EdP, a Endymion baš i je kolonjska voda s izvrsnim trajanjem (kao toaletna) i srednjim mirisnim tragom. Najvažnije je da je parfem ispunio svoju svrhu i to je jedan od onih koji se samo poželjeti može. Stvoren je za fini sako, oxfordice, košulju, maramicu u sakou. manžete...izrazito je muževan. Penhaligon's ima ono nešto u svim svojim kreacijama. Dva grba koja imaju na svom logu su grbovi Princa Charlesa i Vojvode od Edinburgha, dakle, Penahligon's je službeni dobavljač njihovim visostima ;)

Parfem je jedno malo remek-djelo..i svatko tko želi omirisati noć, vječnost,, slatkoću, neodoljivost...zna što treba potražiti...svi u London!
