Evody Onde 7

The per-fume based on honey, ginger, tonka, labdanum

Evody Onde 7

It is nice to see how this perfume house develops each year. One step to another and voilà, Evody became very serious and prominent house with beautiful collection of perfumes. Except the fact that two women are leading this brand, there is also something "arty-frenchy" inside with refined touch.
The latest creation of Evody was presented at Exscence in Milan. I was looking forward to smell it in proper, in peace because when I smell a perfume, I like to do it in silence, like when Buddhist monks pray. I was waiting to smell it like a child that was waiting for a candy bar. I was not disappointed after this fragrant treat, it overwhelmed my olfactive senses.

You would never guess because the name doesn't suggests, but Onde 7 was inspired by Egypt and by the Kyphi. Kyphi is a compound incense that was burnt in Ancient Egypt for medicinal or religious purposes. When it burns, it releases the smoke and per-fumum derives from that custom.

My capture of D'Âme de Pique by Evody

Truly evocative and sensual, Onde 7 begins new olfactory story for Evody. Inside, I see modernity because it corresponds with the elements of today. Partially, I think that Amélie Bourgeois from Flair Studio contributed a lot to this look because she is a new-age perfumer with chich attitude.

There is some very nicely balanced honey notes that give special cuddling softness and creaminess mixed with narcissus flower. The result is the unusual kick of sweet floral tones that I like. I think I didn't smell anything similar to this combination. On my skin, one note is especially pronounced - labdanum flower. Uh, it is very nicely made, little bit smoky and dusty with creamy effects at the same time.

Onde 7 is for those who seek to try something new. I would dare to say, modern version of creaminess and that is why I like it so much, because it offers something new. It is a gourmand and floriental scent with refined tones, you will see it yourself!
