Sel de Vetiver - The Different Company

The divine perfume of Deity!

Sel de Vetiver by The Different Company
I can't stop thinking about this perfume. I am fascinated. I smelled it for the first time in January this year in The Different Company shop in Parisian Marais. I am still very honored and well remember of that beautiful afternoon wit Sophie and Luc Gabriel, the people behind The Different Company. I smelled all the line and this perfume doesn't give me peace any more.
When I smelled it for the first time, it wasn't anything special to me. Now, 4 months later, I think that is extraordinary perfume, a masterpiece of contemporary perfumery where vetiver plays the main role and could be a classic. I also know a friend that always has 2 bottles of least because he has fear that one will run out. I think I will do the same.

Salt, yellow, sand and wet wood tones make this perfume utterly sublime and gorgeous. Sel de Vetiver, meaning "Salty Vetiver" announces the ingredients, but there is more to it. This perfume takes me to voyage under the crystal blue sun and sandy beaches. I perfectly imagine Helios who was described as a handsome titan crowned with the shining aureole of the Sun, who drove the chariot of the sun across the sky each day to earth-circling Oceanus and through the world-ocean returned to the East at night. In the Homeric hymn to Helios, Helios is said to drive a golden chariot drawn by steeds. In Ancient Roman tradition, Sol was the equivalent of Helios. So, Sol - Sel, the perfume of the Sun!

Adjatay The Different Company

Adjatay is the latest release by The Different Company and it is the complete opposite to Sel de Vetiver. Like black&white, the noir against the sunlight. Sel de Vetiver shines on the skin and bursts with rays of salt and creamy vetiver, a masterpiece of CĂ©line Ellena, the daughter of famous Jean Claude Ellena. Adjatay is like a best, hidden in the dark and waiting to attack you with sensuality and narcotic, opulent smell. I like this image of the beauty and the beast. I hope you will enjoy this perfumes because I think they tell one story!
