April Aromatics Tempted Muse & Calling All Angels

Super natural perfumery

April Aromatics Tempted Muse

I didn't have many opportunities to try natural, organic perfumery. April Aromatics is an excellent one because it is highly appreciated by many perfume lovers. It's very difficult for my nose to get used to the smell of natural odors that are more raw and powerful than the usual ones in "traditional" perfumery. Organic and "traditional" perfumery are two separate worlds.
April Aromatics is a German brand, based in Berlin and founded by Tanja Bochnig, an organic perfumer who works for some time with that kind of materials. She spent years in aromatherapy and traveled several times to exotic places, such as India for example, to discover natural ingredients. She was linked with the student of the legendary, natural perfumer, Roudnitska. With years, she developed her own thing called - aroma yoga, a special type of yoga followed with the essences. As you can see, it has nothing to do with the traditional type of the perfumery because this one is linked to nature and to the balance of life.

It wasn't easy, but I found two fragrances that I like. I need to say that all the line has the raw, super natural feeling and touch. On the other hand, they are as beautiful in their own way just as Tanja is, with her eternal, angelic beauty. Way before, she was probably a top model in NYC and Paris.

Calling All Angels

Tempted Muse would be my first choice. Before I tried the perfume, I was imagining a garden of muses, where Calliope, Clio, Urania, Erato dance joyfully around forbidden flowers. This summer I was in Opatija, traditional vacation place for Germans, Austrians and Polish. To me, it is the most beautiful riviera in northern Croatia. There is a beautiful beach with small stones and when Bura blows, Croatian strongest wind, it brings sea weed on white beach stones. That is exactly the smell of Tempted Muse to me. Luminous, refreshing and airy scent that is almost skin transparent with a touch of forbidden sweetness.

Callin All Angels was attractive to me because of its strong name. I always have honey at my place and during winter, I have a honey with propolis for a throat. When I open the jar, a burst of sweetness attacks my nose. Calling All Angels is principally based on propolis-honey with hints of incense. In the dry down, I can smell tonka bean with opoponax. It's a dark sweet scent that ends balsamic and thick and opulent. You just need to love that type of smell.
