Little wonders from the Quintessence workshop
Quintessence Angély - Christmas candle for 2016
I just got back from Paris, but I am already looking forward to Christmas this year. I think it will be the best one so far. I also believe it can be the most fragrant one. If you have read my candle posts, then you have already noticed my passion for Quintessence Paris, a candle brand. I discovered them by accident, by smelling their wonders in Paris and I immediately felt in love. I am stuck with them and can't move forward, that is how much I love them.
Quintessence is releasing a Christmas candle based on spices, cinnamon, clove that is followed with caramel tones. To make ti completely gourmand, there is also vanilla and my favorite sweet spice - tonka bean. It's a candle inspired by the Xmas midnight, when the bells ring and when you hear the Christmas carols. It's a limited edition candle that will be available as from mid-October in Parisian Quintessence boutique or online.
Quintessence Bougie d'Artiste
This, second candle is something captivating. Quintessence Paris often collaborates with artists from different areas. This time, they have done a collaboration with the artist who is specialized in gold and gold patina. Her name is Manuela Paul-Cavallier who is between Paris and Florence and who is very known for her masterworks with gold. Her skills are going so far that she also has a licence of gold restaurateur. She is famous for her works in real gold, like sculptures or objects and in working with golden leafs that are thin and refined. Quintessence and Manuela did a "patinage" of candle glass with real gold which makes this candle a collectible.
What makes this candle unique is the uniqueness by itself. Since the real gold is being used and applied by hand, each candle is unique and there are not two identical glasses. The main idea of this collaboration was to make a sensual trilogy between the perfume, the fire and the candle.
The composition of this candle is based on refreshing bergamot, chestnut, gaiac, cedre, ambre, vanilla and leather.
