It's in the heart of lively Parisian neighborhood Marais where is situated this boutique. In a small street that is noisy and crowded, you can find and discover the world of The Different Company. If you are going to visit Paris, this is the place to stop by. Smelly window will definitively attract your eye, but also, the interior itself because it's a beautiful showcase of even more beautiful perfumes inside. I will tell you a love story between me and The Different Company.

When I started this blog, there were some brands I was intrigued with and I didn't know if there will be opportunity to meet the people behind. This BL'eauOG was born only from passion and to have perfume collection presents a big deal for me. I moved to Paris and voilà, the dream has come true. I flourished as my blog did too. I was able to discover the perfume world and I recommend it to any perfume lover. The Different Company is "one of those" companies that are a "must". It's one of the representatives of the new wave, as I call it. They started in 2000. being among the first niche perfume brands. At the time, that was the start of Frédéric Malle too. The only difference is that The Different Company is independent unlike Malle or By Kilian.

Except that the brand was among the first ones, it was also among the first that gave "la carte blanche", free hands to the perfumers. One of the first perfumers they were collaborating with is Jean-Claude Ellena, famous Hermès perfumer, They started under creative direction of de Bachmakov. In 2004, it's Luc Gabriel who took the lead with some creative suggestions by de Bachmakov.

Undeniably, there are some masterpieces created by this perfume company. It's not an easy task to produce good perfumes for 15 years. Last year was anniversary which they celebrated with Le 15, a limited edition perfume based on palo santo and other dry, aromatic woods. On the photo above, Le 15 is displayed with atomizers and refills. It was a great way to celebrate the anniversary because it showed one more time the potential of this house. 

Adjatay by The Different Company 

Adjatay is the latest perfume released in April this year (2016) and it's opulent and intoxicating creatin based on sexy, sweet tuberose and narcotic leather which is dry and dark. You have a high recommendation to try this one because it's a different take on tuberose. I never guessed it might smell like this. I like it a lot because it is seductive, opulent, elegant and magical. Hypnotic creation. 

Slightly different line from The Different Company

Colorful bottles are "Esprit de Cologne" line whose name tells you everything - those are colognes, but with a special twist. That's something modern from this line that you should discover. One perfume I like the most - Limon de Cordoza, becuase it is based on the mojito effect and I am completely crazy about that drink. 

I think I gave you enough reasons to pay attention to this brand. It's one of the houses that makes rules of the perfume world and it's among pioneers. The spirit and the energy they have is amazing and I am sure anybody could find some beautiful perfume inside.
